Facilities Prepregs are stored at 0°F prior to lay up procedures which is accomplished in an separate environmentally controlled lay up room maintained in near-clean room conditions. All prepreg and film adhesive is cut and laid up in this room for immediate use or kitted for latter use. All molds are cleaned in this area, release coated and prepared for part lay up. All lay ups/parts are vacuum bagged prior to leaving this room. Prepreg curing takes place in a curing oven with an operational limit up to 350°F. The finishing department consists of various pneumatic sanders, grinders, laminate trimmers and diamond coated tooling for composite processing. Dust intensive operations are accomplished in a full flow exhaust booth. |
